Post by True »

Thanks all for the kindness and warm wellcome me to this forum.
Very soon, I am going to dig a pond, about 100' by 50' or maybe bigger (in south of Macon, Atlanta) to raise catfish to supply for local people and groceries. I am very new in this business but I love to raise shrimp and catfish after reading those articals relating shrimp and catfish farms. Kinda nervous but, what the heck.. (hihihi ) I have over 3 acre of land. I have few questions to ask and I really need your input.
- After digging the pond, how soon can I stock the catfish?
-What kind of catfish most the people eating and where can I find the closest catfish hacheries ? ( I have seen many kinds of catfishs as you guys posted in this forum and also I have been eaten catfish but do not know what kind)
So here are my first 2 questions and hope I can have reply soon...Thanks all !
