So I've had my fry for about 4 days and they are doing rather well.. Did a count today and have 9 left.

But I have a possible problem. I'm going home for christmas break this weekend and will porbably be gone for a week or two, and I'd like to be ablet to keep my cory fry alive.

They are currently in a 5g tank, and their parents are in the 30g..I'm afraid that if I move them to the main tank that they cories might eat them...

And ideas?

Berger,

What type of filter are you using in the fry tank?

If it is a sponge filter I would feed them normally up untill you are ready to leave and then squeze the contents of the sponge out into the tank. It will look real dirty but will settle on the bottom where the fry will sift through it and find enough food to keep them going for the two weeks.

Thanks for the response Ian,

I have an airstone driven corner filter...I do have a spare filter media..so before I leave could I take the one thats in use and lay it on the bottom of the tank for the fry to eat off of, and then put a new one in the filter??

Thanks

I would just squeze out the contents of the old mediuminto the tank and throw it away, fry can get snagged up in that stuff.
