Pleco for 65g

Post by greenmonkey51 »

Usually I can figure out what I want, but having trouble picking a pleco. I have 65g community with tetras and apistos. I'm looking for something smaller and will keep the wood algae free. I've done bristlenoses, but looking for something different. One thought was LDA-31 but kind of concerned about how much wood they eat. Any ideas?

Mustard spots are a great choice, but they are big poopers. Any Panaqolus will be.

you've done bristlenose, so i assume the common bristlenose. Without having the panaqolus destroying your wood and filling your tank with poop, have you considered any of the black ancistrus with white spots? (L180-184?) They would keep the wood clean, and the glass, not poop as much, are beautiful, and do not consume enough wood to dent yours.

Sounds like a singleton or a 5+ group of (previously known as L204 Flash Plec) could be a possibility.
