He,

it's a wormlined Hypancistrus sp. from Rio Xingu, Brazil.
Some will say L 66, others L 236, no one will know for sure.

From my understanding they are quite variable- it could just be a nice one!
I can stop keeping catfish whenever I want. I just don't think I'll ever want to do that...

That's the problem with fish in this particular "group". Without collection information, you're going to play hell figuring out if you even have the same variants. The locational specific groups still have quite a bit of variation, even when you know exactly where they were from.
