I have built up a ton of credit at my LFS, and this guy had been there for at least a month and a half. I thought it was cool looking. Unfortunately I will probably never see it as it will be in my pond that has a black bottom, but part of the fun will be looking for it. I need to get some wood for it as well.

Not for those from the Xingu, at least when young they eat river weed. There is comparatively little wood in their habitat.

and for a Panaque like this one, you'll need high level of O2 until the deep bottom of your pond… not that easy...

I have seen it twice. It gets plenty of oxygen in the pond. My filter is rated for a 3000 gallon pond. My pond is 110 gallons. I have put repashey, zucchini and algae tablets in there, so it is eating pretty well. I may end up trading it to one of my friends and just get a larger L190 "common" royal. It really makes no difference to me, since I rarely see it, but my friend is really interested in it.
