Ok so I have 2x Corydoras metae(small size 1 inch or 1.5)..in a 30 gallon long tank with few rummy nose tetras and two 1 inch.Corydoras sterbai

Along with 2x Panda Corydoras..2 inches in size or a tiny hair less...)

My question is if I put my adult size breeder Pleco hypan soecies..say my King tigers or L-260 or 333,174 . into the tank along with cover and few caves will the fish getaggressive towards another ..ive never kept cordys with plecos.. just curious as Im in a bind on tank space and have a shipment of hypans I been looking for and now I have no time for new tank setup and cycling, much less risking cycling another unused tank to fast and end up killing my new plecos..will the corys eat the eggs if the hypan spcies spawn.. hoping someone with exprience can help me..thanks..

Cories will not eat hypancistrus eggs. But your hypans might eat the cory eggs, if those should spawn.

It depends on the number of breeders you want to put in there and about the sex ratio. 1-2 Males and 3-4 females should be ok in my opinion.

Does the same go for ancistrus with cories?

Are you ever able to get any? Or are they too quick?

I moved my Ancistrus out of the Cory tank. Now I just have other corys, and maybe banjos, eating the eggs, although I've never seen banjos eat eggs (I just think they will if they find them.).

I've never seen a single Cory baby in that tank, but my adult corys don't seem to bother baby corys after hatching. So either the corys (and maybe banjos) eat all the eggs, or the corys eat most of the eggs and the banjos eat any fry that hatch.

Maybe I'll put some with my pair of L239, they're really lazy so maybe they won't eat em.

Most plecos won't cling to the glas during day. So the cory eggs should be safe for the daytime with most of the nocturnal pleco species. You can save the eggs before night breaks :D Bristlenoses are another story though.

This is going way off topic. Sorry plec0
