Hey, those guys are cool - sorry, no idea what they are, the pictures don't show too clear, but check in the Cat-eLog under Genus thumbnails for Callicthyidae and you can load 150+ little corys, maybe 20 of which have a similar colour pattern to yours. Do you mind if I ask where you got them, ie what part of "Canada'?

cheers

Calgary to be exact-nice to see another Albertan. I have gone through the thunbnails and can't see anything that matches.

Check the Cat E Log for Corydoras elegans
HERE.
Is this your fish?

Did you get them from a store?

Did you try looking under the species c. nijsseni? They have a dark face and a band on the back. I have never seen the fish myself. it is hard to tell from the lighting in that photo.
There are several similar colored cories. I don't think it is C. adolfi.

I agree with Paul, these are Corydoras elegans.

I would also say C. elegans

They can be quite variable in colour intensity with males showing the best colours

The reasons why I don't think they are elegans are that the coloring on the dorsal fin is not like any elegans which I have seen. All elegans I have seen have a mottled black "spotting" on the dorsal fin-mine have just a slight bit of black on the front edge of the fin only. As well, mine do not have any type of reticulation on the front, and no lines on the tail. Are elegans that variable in color in pattern?
