Hi,

I'm new hear and yes I checked the database and 24C should be fine acc planetcatfish.
But in our books as well most databases and so on a min temp of 25/26C is recommended.

Would be great to know if someone has happy and nice coloured one with 24C water.
We have a new 1000l tank.

Hello panaque190,
your little buggers do come from the Rio Orinoco (Venezuela) - and the water temperature tends to be between 25/29C over there. I cannot tell you if they are happy/nice coloured (never ask a fish ) at 24C - but you would certainly be at the lower end of the temperature spectrum...

I found out that Rio Orinoco has mid temp of 26,7C (min 23C, max 32,3C). So it could work, maybe. Seems I have to check for others.
