Interesting BN baby

In the midst of common brown/black babies I appear to have one albino.

Still in the cave and unable to see much detail yet. Father is brown/black long-fin and mother is anybody's guess - but definitely brown/black (I have no albinos). There are numerous females in the tank and it's possible that there were eggs from 2-3 spawns, some of which hatched in the tank and not the cave. Dad is a dummy and just now slowly catching on to what he's supposed to do. (Previous spawn/s resulted in eggs all over the tank and none in the cave. I was spoiled by Paz who was an exemplary dad from the get-go.) Babies' yolk sacs almost completely gone so they'll be out and about soon.

I know they're common as dirt but I find them vastly entertaining. Maybe I'm just easily entertained

I cleaned the 45g where these guys all reside today - yep, a LOT of poop!!! And it's a display tank with gravel, driftwood and plants so not easy to clean...

They are great fun to raise but yes require lots of clean water and poop removal.
My dad is not good at big numbers due to his favourite cave being tight but manually hatched a big batch and OMG I was getting rid of them for a year. Some took a bit longer to colour up but they all did.

Josey is really *slow* and I threatened to take him to the LFS if he didn't get his act together

Thankfully a decent LFS near me takes babies for credit. I'll keep the albino since I had none before it's arrival. Luckily(?) I'm retired so I can devote lots of time to cleaning Pleco poop since those are the only fish I have

Current count is 4 albino babies, 1 of which is a long-fin (as is dad) and 1 of which is white.
