Bottom one is male, top one is female. Both look to be mature specimens in my humble opinion...

Agreed. The picture can be enlarged and is clear enough to see both sexes ;)

For me experience is my guide. Many would say the top one is male, when the truth is that it is a sexually mature female. The shape of the heads is entirely different, the male's will be wide and spade shaped. In fact I refer to mine as 'shovel heads'. The females have a shorter, rounder looking face.
The bodies will also be shaped differently as well. Males will be ice cream cone shaped, while females will be 'plumper' in the middle. I always say the girls have curves b-) .
