It's probably one of the complex of populations referred to as L071 - basically a widespread amazonian species probably undescribed. The blue eyes aren't characteristic.

I happened to walk in my LFS today, there is exactly the same kind, but a man. Scales, fins, construction and blue eyes are the same as the female.
Also, it has bright blue eyes, not turbid eyes.

The male is 15 cm

John,

On some mobile devices (like my phone, for example), the information you provided is not visible on forum posts, even though it is visible when viewed on a typical computer screen. So it's quite possible Linus_Cello could not see that you are in the Netherlands.

Cheers, Eric

No, the structure of finns and body is different, also the size.
The maximum size of macrophthalmus is 8 cm, mine are 25 ( female ) and at least 15 cm ( male ).

Here 2 pictures, male in stress colors
