Hi Jools,
I'm looking for in the Cat-eLog. I can find it using the species search, but when I click on the link, I'm taken to the genus page for , and L020 doesn't appear on the list of species for the genus.
Thanks, Eric

It has been described, so the number has become redundant.

Thanks Marc. I figured that was the case. But for other spp. which have an outdated L number associated with them, the L number still functions as a link to the species (e.g., works for ). Maybe that can be done for L020.
Cheers, Eric

Edit: Hmmm - I do see that the CLOG link "" works to get to , so that's actually okay. Therefore, the real problem comes in when someone uses the species search tool to find L020 - instead of directing the user to , it directs them to .

I renamed the species yesterday. It will take a day or two for the quick find robot to notice and then it should work as expected.

Maybe this is as fixed as it gets: As desired, comes up when you search for "L020" from the species search/quick find tool. That's perfect. If it matters though, also still appears when you search for "L020" from the species search/quick find tool. If that's okay, then everything is done. If you don't want the broken link to appear when people search for L020, then a little more work is needed.

Cheers, Eric
P.S., If I'm nit-picking here, please disregard.

Hi Eric,

The aforementioned automated process that clears out old names and updates with new ones ran last night. So I think it is now as you would expect? When I type in L020 in the quick find search box, it only now finds the common name.

Yes, it's fixed now for me too. When I tried the search yesterday and the correct L020 was being found (along with the old name), I had erroneously concluded that the automated process had already executed. But obviously that wasn't the case. Thanks again Jools.
