Hi,

This little one came in as a hitchhiker in a shipment of freshwater fish for an independent aquarium store. Can anyone help me ID it? Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the poor photo quality. It's the best I could do. The fish is overall a dull pale grey with long barbels and a single black lateral stripe on either side.

If it came in with wild-caught Corydoras, could it be a Brachyrhamdia species? Maybe

And in my opinion it is Mystus. More precisely Mystus malabaricus. The bent dark belt is attesting to it above a pectoral fin and the triangular stain on the caudal hard core, apart from that fits the face.

Thank you all for the replies! Looking at pictures, Brachyrhamdia marthae seems to be the closest match.
