Local Catfish N. Indiana, USA

I found these local catfish in a fish tank at my college. Please help me ID them!!

They look like an sp.

The white mandibular barbels tell me they are likely yellow bullheads.

They appear a lot darker and flat than those. Similar, but not sure that is what they are... Any other thoughts??

you can trust the ID done by Birger.

the catfishes in your picture seem young and thus flatter. also it depends on how much and what they are being fed.

color is never a great guideline in catfishes. color can and will vary greatly among individuals of the same species. many factors attribute to this, like stress, surroundings, temperature, water chemistry, health and overall wellbeing of the animals.

Are they all the same species? It almost looks to me they are not but I may easily be wrong. More pics would help to help. Not head-on only.

If they are bullheads, Birger is right, only yellows have white mandibular barbels.
