What kind of plecos are these?

I bought these and not being a pleco nut I don't remember the L#. I am trying to sell them and would like to tell people what they are buying so does anybody know what these guys are called? I posted 2 pictures of the same one as I didn't get a good side shot.

Possibly L007? One of the more experienced on here would have to confirm that though.

2 different species.

Both are Leporacanthicus. First one is L007. While the other is L240 IMO.

So the one that is brown with yellow spots is the L240?

No the one with white spots is the 240

I am still not understanding it as the internet states the L007 is black with white spots and a L240 tend to have yellow spots. The one pleco is brown base with yellow spotting so maybe we still don't have a proper id on it yet.

Spot colour isn't a reliable method especially when using photographs; fishes kept in tannin stained waters for example will show yellow spots in a photo. The fish with the erect dorsal fin that show a black edging to it is the .

dont think too much... they are 2 different spices... dont try to smoke... hehe... \M/

they are 007 and 240.. :-BD
