Do l014s make good algae eaters? I have an arowana tank which develops algae on the glass, was wondering if i get an l014 , will it help with the algae? Or do they prefer meaty foods?

They are omnivores and will try a lot of different foods. But I haven't seen them scrape algae off the glass like my L001. Perhaps you'd like to try an L001, a P. Pardalis, or one of those beautiful Hypostomus.

Getting an L014 will not resolve you algae problem. If you look at their dentition, their teeth are not designed for algae collection. Instead, they are more likely meant for scraping soft tissues from carrion. Yes, they are scavengers, but will also sink their teeth on vegetables.
I agree, P. Joselimaianus can be an effective algae eater and look quite stunning too!
