Unknown catfish with pics

My fiancé bought a tank from his friend. It is about 55 gallons and terribly stocked.

There's a catfish in there, that I can't seem to identify. He looks sort of armoured along his stomach, and has extremely long barbels and a sort of rounded tail. The owner has no idea what it is, I think he thought there was only one type of catfish...

So here he is, I actually really like him!

. There are some similar looking species but yours appears to have a dark bar in the tail fin which points to this one.

, no vertical bar in the caudal fin.
