Flourite (rough gravel) too rough for Sterbais?

I got a heavily plant tank. with flourite gravel. It's quite rough, I was wondering if I could keep some sterbais in it? Right now the gravel is abou 50% covered. as soon as my Glosso grows in, it will cover 90% of the tank. If i cant keep the sterbais now, can i do it when 10% gravel visable?

thanks

I would say "NO" in both situations.

If you doubt your gravel with your fish, then don't try it out.

Also, 90 % plant covering is a bit much for cories imo, but i have heard that there are two variants of sterbai's (var. 1 and var. 2), and var. 2 should like very dence plant covering, while var. 1 values current over plants. - But im not sure. Can anyone confirm this last postulate?

Thanks
