Crazy indeed

After all, keeping these fish in tanks in order to charge batteries will result in the need for some waterflow, and some waterchange. Further the fish will have te be fed

This will cost energy, and labour, that is, costs, to perform the tasks.

Were these to be put into the equation, the net energy result will probably be negative, and the economics would be worse

Crazy research?
From my electrochemical point of view this looks fake
Batteries need constant power to charge, electric catfish give shortly non constant high power/voltage (some of as know that), yes they also make canstantly very low power but this is much to low for charging a battery
Anyone else who wants to comment?

My limited understanding says an electric signal of any/many shapes can be converted into any/many other shapes.. with accompanying energy losses. Just need a right circuit/board.

I have not read the article yet though.
