L129 or L340?

I was at a LFS today and was curious what fish these might be, they are labelled L129, but I thought they might be L340.

Also, can anyone ID my current stock if they are L340 or L129, I purchased them as L340. One of the fish is very faded and has some fin damage, only have had it for a week now, think it might be sick?

Are the fish from my LFS the same as mine? If so, I want to go buy a bunch and start a colony in my 50gal.

Thanks for any help, my main question is, are these fish L340 or L129 and are mine the same as my LFS?

THANKS!

The best way to describe the difference between an L129 and L340 is from the dorsal (top) view. The L129 has a gentle curve from the tip of the nose to the pectoral fins. The L340s have 'bumps' along their 'chin' set just wider then their eyes giving them more of a blunt appearance.

Your first photo and last photo are L340. The ones in the middle I am not sure as they are side views. I have L129s but not L340s so I will defer to the experts.

Look at the dorsal photos in the cat-elog and you can see the difference.

Thank you so much! I never would have thought of being able to ID them this way, I am going to make another trip to my LFS to check them out from above!
