I agree that the shape is different (and i could be wrong) but the fish differs in size by an inch and the bigger of them is in clearly breeding condition thus all the odontodal growth.But from the first pics the smaller fish displays also odontodes growth on its body (but less than the bigger fish).
Also the smaller fish has also thick pectoral spines and elongated ventral fins.

Can you post better pics of the possible "female"

I'm afraid that I can't post better pict, pict 4 and 5 is the better pict. Because I take the pict in this afternoon Indonesian time, and I told to the seller to wait my decision first. And after some advise from my pleco mate, now I cancel to buy them, and somebody already buy, them,
