A.asronosus not eating

Post by festaedan »

Hey guys, my ageniosus asronosus Hasnt eaten a thing. I got him in the male last friday, he's a bit under 2 inches and he's in a 10 gallon quarentine tank. I've tried putting in pellets, bloodworms, and live black worms but he seems uninterested in all of them. Is it too early to start worrying about him? Thanks in advance.

I'd expect him to start eating by now, though they can take longer. If he's on his own, is there suitable cover to hide? Have you tried feeding after lights out? Are the lights extremely bright? You might want to try a small garden earthworm? But obviously, don't leave any food in there longer than overnight.

There is some pvc pipes for him to hide in. Whenever I put food in for him I turn off the lites and hope for the best. I'll try a small earthworm if I can find one small enough. Thanks
