Hi everyone. I was hoping someone would be able to ID this pleco for me. I bought it a few days ago as "snowball pleco" so I thought it was H inspector (the body shape and eyes are similar to this species) however once I brought it home realised the spots are yellow not white so not sure. What do you think? Thank you for your help.

What a lovely fish.... I could be tempted with one of those.

Where did it come from?

Hi. Looks like Hypancistrus sp(l201) to me.
Thank you. I was almost sure it would be a Hypancistrus species which is good news since it will not grow large.

Thank you. I got it from Aquajardin Southampton. The picture was taken the day I bought it so the fish was a bit skinny and stressed. Hopefully after settling down and being treated to a diet of frozen worms and pleco pellets it will gain weight and look even more handsome!

I think it would be interesting to see him next to my nugget.... I'm at least an hour and half from there so I may have to have a word with my local MA store... Thanks for the info.
