Re: L204 sexing
From the first post, 2 females, 1 male
From the second post, the one with the split caudal fin male, the other one I am not sure - leaning towards female.
Good luck.
Cheers

Re: L204 sexing
Thanks for your comment! The certain male keeps in a cave all the time, so maybe there are a couple of females..
Maybe others have an opinion about it?

Bugger, I just put them i the tank, so I would be sorry to pull them up again. I actually tried to take pics of their bellies, but i just got one good photo, and that was of the male...
Can you say anything about gender of the 5 fish above? I will take pics of their belly if I re decorate or move the fish. Its an interesting theory you have!

Re: L204 sexing
I find it hard to sex fish which I can't see hands on. Sometimes it is a little easier to see but in your case I don't find it so easy. The pictures are far of and a bit dark.
You could try to observe their behavior in the tank and if you ever do have to remove them for what reason, you could take some more pictures.
I think Geoff's answer is a safe bet thou

Thank you for your answer Jac! I will remember to take buttom-up pics when it is possible.
For now I will rely on Geoff's answer:)
Btw I just saw a clutch of eggs at one of my L201 males, which i only have had for 3 weeks. I did nothing to make them spawn except providing caves. The Water is pretty hard - around 250ppm. Nice:)

Re: L204 sexing
I'm not sure but i think with L204 the males have longer tail fins and the females dont. Kinda like bolivain rams. If this is true sexing should be easy and lifting fish out of the water unnesscary. I saw a male and some females in my dealers tank at tropaquatics, should have gotten more but at $40 bucks a fish 1 was all I could afford.

Re: L204 sexing
Three females and a lone male IMO. Last one seems to be thin female. All look very beautiful though. Good luck.
