Could anyone confirm the id? Is it L312?
Looking at Lasiancistrus the L312 look closest to this one.
I actually dont know much about Lasiancistrus but they seemes a bit different from other species cause it layed the eggs on the roofside inside a big cave. Perhaps they have some "glue" like L107.

Yes Jim I breed plecos on my spare time! :d

Cheers

congrats! I am waiting for my group to mature. I have what I believe are . I got them about a year ago, one has grown considerably, the other 3 not so much until recently.

Have you noticed yours eating wood? Mine have really cut down on the size of the tree stump in their tank. Also, do you have any more pictures of the adults.

i believe that BN plecos also have glue on their eggs. they stick very well to rock and even glass surfaces and it is difficult to get them off w/o damaging a few.

Hi!

I keep them in a tank with mostly flat stones in various sizes. I haven't seen them grasping on roots neither the fry. The seemes to prefer stones compared to species like L239 and l397. But I can't tell for sure that they don't eat any wood cause spend enough time study them!

I'm trawelling right now but I think I have some more photos of them somewhere.
They where adult when I brought them and the females where fat so there where no problems finding both sexes! I've just experienced glue with two species but it's possible that more strong current species would do this!?

Cheers

@Cristoffer Forssander - do you still have these pictures - would be nice to add them to the cat-elog and also document the species if we can check pictures of the adults?

Cheers,

Jools
