ID on these catfish please

Looks like immature S. granulosus. But then I've never seen immature S. granulosus.

Really hard to tell from the film if these are in fact granulosa...since you have seen them up close you will have to compare with the juveniles here
Keep in mind there are knock offs out there!!

Find out where they came from??

hope to find out more today no one knows in my lfs what they are i hope they are the real thing but its very hard to tell

These are not Synodontis granulosus. You have to look closely but there are spots in the white on the tails and dorsal. They are hybrids with one of the parent catfishes probably being granulosus.

They do look like hybrids even from a distance .

Afaik only NHA have successfully bred these & wild ones have never been imported under 4" SL

some are black and others are dark brown and i taught i seen one with white whiskers i will take them out and get a better photo tomorrow thanks for all the help no matter what they are i got them at a very good price so i am happy.

The one on the left in the picture looks like , the others appear to be hybrids. Hard to say though, it would be great if you could document them as they grow and post pics here.
