Water changes (L046)

Post by Matt30 »

Hi all

I'm after some advice regarding carrying water changes while I have two of my
Hzebra's in One cave :d , it's been 13 days since my last change and after
Three long years I don't want anything to go wrong !
I was thinking of just doing a 40% change or less as I usually
do 50% every 5 days but for the last couple of months I have been doing two weekly changes 70%
my TDS is currently 100ppm and I have been feeding very heavily Blood worm and brine shrimp etc, and I don't want my tank to crash.
The tank is 250l with x2 eheim 2217 with powerheads

So any help from the pro's (Barbie) etc would be appreciated

As long as you do not disturb the cave it should be fine to change water. I have changed water with couples, dad and eggs or dad on wigglers with no issues. I have moved caves with dad on eggs or wigglers and lost them.

Cheers TwoTankAmin

I did the water change and no problems, I did see the male pushing the female back into the
cave so there was a bit of movement but both still in the cave, so now it's just wait and see,
Cheers for the advice !

After three days the female left the cave today leaving the male inside with no eggs to be seen, must have been a Pratice session .
