I have issued CW-numbers for 2 recently discovered undescribed Corydoradinae species. CW080 this is a saddle-snouted species from the Madre de Dios drainage in South western Peru. CW081 is a short snouted species from the Rio Icana an affluent of the upper Rio Negro, Brazil.

In accordance with Markos A. Alexandrou & Martin Taylor 'Evolution, Ecology and Taxonomy of the Corydoradinae Revisited' in Fuller I. A. M., & Evers H.G., 2011 Identifying Corydoradinae Catfishes, Supplement 1. 104-117
(Ian Fuller Enterprises), Kidderminster, England.
CW080 would fall into Lineage 1 and CW081 into Lineage 9.

Thanks Ian, when I read this on FB I wondered if you would post here. I presume I can add the pictures to the cat-eLog as new species entries? Is that OK?

Thanks,

Jools

No problem Jools, I would contact Brian Perkins for his ok to use the CW080 picture. The CW081 is mine so OK there.

I will send you a couple of other images.

Hi Ian,
Beautiful fish and great photos, both of them.
The CW081 looks quite similar to C96, any advice how we should tell them apart?

Cheers,

Max
