I have 6 adult L260s which I would like to breed with, but I have no idea what sex they are. Any help much appreciated!

I have 6 L260s too. i wish they were adults like yours but mine are only 1.5" so far.

Looks like you may have 3 male and 3 female, or 4 males and 2 females
1st pic might be female.
2nd pic is definitely male
3rd pic is possibly female
4th is probably an immature male
5th is male
6th might be female

no way all are male. yes there may be many more males than female but at least 1 is female. these are all adults remember, if they were all male they would all show the long bristles on the cheeks and lots of bristles on the pectoral fins.

I think you have 4 males and 2 females. But I'm no expert at sexing queens. I do have 2 pairs of L260's and in my opinion, in the order of your pictures, the sex would be:

Male

Female

Female
Male
Male

Absence of odontodal growth isn't a guaranteed indication of gender. Based on head morphology and mid body girth they do look all male to me. I'm not sure about the forth one, might be a skinny female.

Might be worthwhile having a closer look at the one some think is female?

I agree with sandor.
You got 6 males.

I have seen older specimens of L260 like these. The females also show odonthode growth and are easily mistaken for males.
If you look more closely to the fish you can see that the males, which are the most obvious (2 and 5), have a longer headshape. Because the headshape is longer, the eyes are placed closer together. The pectorial finrays are thicker and have heavy odonthodes at the ends.
The rest are female. The headshape is shorter, the pectorialfinrays are thinner and have less odonthode growth.
The fish are not in breeding condition so there is notting to tell about the bodyshape. Give them some tlc and good feeding.
If you can, please make some more pictures in about 2-3 months. I'm sure you have a brilliant group!
