Silurus knows his fish, that's for sure. He writes for Practical Fishkeeping magazine and I imagine he's forgotten more about catfish than a lot of us know. One thing that tells you it's not a is the leading edge of the dorsal and pectoral fins. Your fish have a white leading edge on those fins, multipunctatus do not.
