I have a 75 gallon Malawi community aquarium. I have a group of 5 Synodontis Multipunctatus 2 females 3 males. I want to breed them and I'm going to be setting up another 75 gallon just for the Syno's. All of my Malawi cichlids are males. I've had the syno's for over a year and a half I don't know how old they are but I'm guessing young adults.
How should I go about trying to breed my Syno's male to female ratio? Should I use a host mouthbooding cichlid? if so what should I try to get for cichlids? How many syno's can I add to a 75 gallon for a large colony?
I've never intentionally bread any fish. I've been keeping fish for 20 years. I think I'm ready to give something a try.
I also have a colony of Syno Lucipinnis I'm going to try breeding at the same time but I'll save my questions for another time.

Here's an older thread that answers a lot of questions about breeding multis/grandiops. It links to another thread that has some good info as well.
