Post by priits »

Hi
Is there any L-species who accepts cool water temps, I mean 18C/65F.
I have one tank in my bedroom without heating :)

Do you mean an l-number specifically, or a loricariid more generally?

Have you tried the species search (which allows you to select family and temp range for example).

I think Hypostomus laplatae is the only one that can handle cool water.

In my experience (through keeping them) and also live in unheated tanks happily. I'd assume pretty much anything from southern South America can handle cooler water.
