Hard water and zebra's

How hard water can Hypancistrus zebra spawn in, and will the eggs hatch?

Have anyone spawned zebra's in water with around 1000 Microsiemens?
I move to a place where is it not 100% sure that i can make RO water with my osmosis system, and the water is pretty hard there.

I would like to take my zebra's with me and keep breeding them, right now i use mixed RO and tap water, with around 400 microsiemens.

Mine used to spawn at 400, no problem. I do not know if they will be fertile at 1000ppm. There's one sure way to find out. I'm sure the zebras themselves would be healthy at that level, as long as the rest of the parameters were good.

Just to be clear 1000 uS/cm = ~600 ppm, so 50% higher, not 150% higher than Barbies water.

I don't know the answer to the question, but I know that ppm and uS/cm isn't the same thing... ;)

Ok ty.
600 microsiemens won't be a problem then, but i heard some person have bred them in a malawi tank :-\

I have one more question: When i change water, will it be okay to change 50% with small fry around 1 cm, so the temperature lowers to 25 degrees from 30?

I have in my tank 2 litters with little ones of 1.5 cm and 3 cm, and do regular water changes of 30 to 26 degrees.
No problems.

My recollection from other threads is that spawning in hard water is not the issues, but the hatching rate is really low in hard water. Something about the fry being unable to get out to of the eggs and maybe the shells being too tough?
