Loricariids of the Middle Xingu River

The book „Ornamental Plecos of the Middle Xingú River” has been published in a bilingual (Portuguese / English) version by Brazilian scientists (Mauricio Camargo, Heriberto Gimênes Junior and Lúcia Helena Rapp Py-Daniel). Since it is out of print and already sold out, a group of enthusiasts decided to publish a revised edition in German / English. The company Panta Rhei stands ready as publisher, provided there is sufficient demand for such a book.

Besides maps with collecting locations of the plecos, this revised edition will also contain numerous pictures of these fish as well as of their habitats. This new edition will be the product of cooperation between scientists, hobbyists and the trade. In line with this idea possible profits will be donated to science as well as the project PlanetXingu.
The company Panta Rhei has set up a special section on its website where pre-orders for this book can be placed. If 150 or more pre-orders are done by August 15th 2013, this book will be produced.

The new version will contain 304 fully colored pages with more than 500 pictures (biotopes and pictures of all species and forms). The book, sized at 21cm*21cm, will be available for 39.95 Euro (incl. 7% VAT added delivery costs) from Panta Rhei.

The books will then either be shipped or directly given to the buyers during the 3rd International L-Numbers Days 2013 in Hanover.

I hope you fix that glaring "Pseudacanticus" typo. Is there going to be an English version of that website? Shipping to America?

So, if I want six copies, do I need to register six times?!?!

Otherwise, pre-ordered!

Thanks for the response! I put it a preorder in on the website. I filled name, email, address but in the address I forgot to put my zip code. Should I redo it? Or is it ok? Also will we get a email about the book when it's time? Thanks again!

Would have loved to get me, but postage to Australia is more than the book itself. :-T

I have sent an email to Andi some time ago but I guess he's a bit busy at the moment 8-}

I wanted to know what was the best way to go about ordering more books.
There are a few people that have asked me to bring the book with me from Hannover. Is it best that they order the book themselves or should I order more copies?
Can I take the books that others have ordered? And do I pay at pick up or do I or the people that have ordered pay the book online?
Sorry for all the questions.. Hope some one can help.

we'll send an email with the order confirmation.
There we'll recapitulate the adress data that we've received and write the number of copies that you've ordered.
Then you can add your zip-code.

... we want to collect the orders and will ask then some people if they are interested in receiving lots of the book to send it via a national parcel service. I think it will be much cheaper that to send many single books from germany. The prices on the website are the orginal prices from dhl.de...
