No expert, but looks like a fungus to me.

Try to post another picture more in focus...it is hard to tell what it is. Almost looks like a heater burn....Several of my plecos get this...a flat whitish patch/scar.

Their is 3 patches making one big patch almost. It's raised off the body as well. I think it's a fungus of some sort. How would you treat this?

Take him out of the water, hold him head up, swab the area with iodine, then put him back in the water. If he doesn't look much improved the following day, repeat.

Thanks! My girlfriend is a nurse and actually had some povidone-iodine packs and I q-tipped it on the wounded area. Hopefully it helps!

And that does look like a heater burn. Might be time to move your heater or provide more hiding places.

If you seen the tank hiding places are abundant. It is raised off the body though. Heater burns aren't like that I don't think

In absence of seeing the tank or knowing the tanks other inhabitants its a little hit and miss. The raised white area is an infection to a wound. I was guessing the wound was caused by a heater burn. Point being that assuming the advice given here cures the infection, if it were me, I'd be interesting in figuring out what caused the initial trauma.

Hope that's helps

Definitely gonna look into it. He's not bothered by anyone at all. I have a L-200 in with him too but it's a 4ft long tank so they both have plenty of ground and hiding places (driftwood, caves, ect). I did notice him around the heater tho lately, so you may be correct but if it is it looks like 3 burns in the same area. When I get off work today I'll update

Well that didn't help any. It doesn't seem to be getting worse though. Hopefully it's just a burn and will heal in time :-(

Not a burn. It's not getting better it may be getting worse. Less white on the wound now but you can see flesh more. Seems like its a flesh eating disease or something. Does anyone know what it is or what I could do?the iodine didn't work. Would peroxide?

Catch it, take close up photos and separate the fish. Instead of a fish room photo, how about a close up shot of the tank where the Lepora is being kept.
