Hi All,
I'm new to this sort of thing so please cut me some
slack should I get it wrong.
I have four red tails each about 9 inches and they are
outgrowing their tank.
I am looking for £ 20 each for them but would discount
if all four went together.
It would have to be collection as I will not post livestock.
Cheers Keith.

If someone would be willing to take over your responsibility for these fishes, for free, you should remember thanking him enough
Personally, I would not dare asking money for them

Welcome to the Planet! These fish will need a tank of the swimming pool size when adults. Common ethics pleads that, now that you know what these fish need, you please, please make sure they go to a person that has such accomodations, such as this guy:

Herein lies your dilemma - such guys are very, very rare and they rescue fish, they do not buy them. Usually you'd be exceptionally lucky if such guys drove to meet you half way for the transfer.
Sorry, I feel your position and many of us have been in it. So, I am not preaching from a high chair but from experience. You do have my empathies. And I have been running such a large-fish rescue center in the USA.

Plus most public aquaria are also oversubscribed by monster fish with no homes

Thanks for the responses guys, and point taken re selling as opposed to
a simple please take these beasties off my hands, but I figured that it
would deter the " I'll take anything if its free brigade "
My main concern is they go to the right place/person.
The well being of the RTC's is paramount, a 6ft tank is on the way but
that will take time to cycle and its not even here yet.
Any advice welcome, but they ain't going on the barbecue.

If you are talking about something like a 6'x2' tank and your RTCs are 9" already, it will buy you perhaps a few months, that's all (IMHO).
Their rough rate of growth under proper care is 2' in year 1, 3' in year 2, 4' in 5-15 years.
A minimum tank they must have is 4 times fish length by 2 times fish length, which means a roughly one year old RTC needs a 8'x4' tank, a 2 year old - 12'x6' tank.
For 99.9% of the RTC keepers, an affordable solution is a 10'+ swimming pool, inflatable or plastic or block+rubber liner, etc. which are ~10-20 times cheaper than a minimally sized glass or acrylic tank.
