Ugh. I realize it's just an opportunistic sales tactic, but does it really need this sort of inflammatory post to sell these fish for you? They haven't been allowed to export wilds from Brazil for more than 5 years now already.

We also request that commercial sellers post in one thread rather than a thread per sale. Please could you do that in future?

The forum rules / guidelines also recommend you post an introduction to yourself , this helps potential customers feel more at ease and makes you look less dodgy.

Hope that helps,

Cheers

No worries, we're kinda old skool as well when it comes to forums (hence the etiquette etc which I am sure some of our less regular members are less than keen on).

I'll combine your posts into one thread.

Opportunistic sales tactic? I thought i was living in capitalistic society where a hobbyist/small business owner could attempt to make a honest living selling his extra fish. Everything i wrote was the truth. So who did i inflame? Whats your real motive for this attack?
Advertisement is Americana!

If they haven't been allowed for export then why are their so many wild caught adults being sold on the internet? I raise my own fish which where offspring of captive bred as well. I'm not a smuggler nor do I appreciate those that facilitate them by buying their fish. If people nowadays weren't so lazy they wouldn't cost as much as they do.
20 years ago you could buy them for $45 retail. My asking price for healthy little kittys is very reasonable. Its not my fault they cost an arm and a leg. Back then I told people all around me that they would be banned and that the price would skyrocket. They all laughed at me. I have been traveling to south america for over 20 years. Whats happening there is beyond words. The government of brazil couldn't care less about the multitude of species that will be lost. What i wrote was a wake up call to all serious hobbyist that really do want to make a difference by not only buying captive bred but attempting it themselves. This hobby is about sharing and having fun but at the same time you have to pay the electrical bill to run your heaters and pumps and buy food other goodies you need to make this happen. It doesn't fall out of the sky, there's a lot of years of blood sweat and tears behind these fish, so lighten up.

Have a great day :-)
