L134 - meaty foods?

I have just bought a small L134.

Cat-elog states "Omnivorous with a tendancy towards meaty foods". What type of food would this be?

I feed all my other pl*cos on spirulina tabs and Courgette.

Also, LFS stated Hypancistrus L134 but Cat-elog states Peckoltia.

L134 body shape certainly resembles my L205 Peckoltia.

Is it that the LFS is incorrect? or is there a similar hypancistrus?

I feed my L134 Aquadine flakes. At the lfs they have a dispenser where I choose veggie and cichlid flake. They love it. It is simple for me and it isn't messy

There are no similar fish to L134 (although L134 are very variable) and they are a species of Peckoltia, the dentition and head profile is different in Hypancistrus. Compare L134 with L66 and you'll see it better, especially if you can compare the suckermouths.

Hi,
my L 134 seem to prefer wood...
Sometimes pellets, they dont take vegetables and couriosly also don´t take bloodworms, tubifex, etc. (But I know from other aquarists, that they eat vegatables and living food, it seems to differ ...).

HI!

Since he is supposed to belong to the genus Peckoltia a rather omnivorous nutrition should be provide.
Commercially prepared food are usually well accepted. I have rather good results with Tablets that contains Spirulina.
Cheers

Thanks for the info.

But I am still confused by what is meant by "meaty" foods in the Cat-elog.

This means food with a high protein content, such as shrimp or carnivore pellets.
