Diseased albino cory-HELP!

I've been keeping a bunch of cories for about two weeks now. They've been very healthy, but today, one of my albino cories had a black spot appear right between his eyes. I've tested the water-no ammonia, no nitrite. I've quarantined the little guy in case the disease spreads to the rest of my tank. Could someone diagnose this disease with the pictures provided below?

Mysterian is dead now. I have no clue what happened, and the hole in his head appeared this morning. What went wrong?

It came on in twelve hours with no early signs, makes me think your cory either damaged itself or something damaged it, or possible bacterial infection.
As a side question the blue gravel i can see in the picture is that in the main tank as well?

Not from the same bag, but it's the same brand. Why do you ask?

Just because it looks quite sharp.
