L29 not eating

Post by teddyman5 »

I have an 8" L29 that I've had for nearly 3 years. It has always eaten enthusiastically and voraciously on prawns and mussels. However it has not eaten in the last week. No problem with other occupants, water chemistry and temperature is fine.
Any thoughts or suggestions welcome.

Thanks a lot in advance.

any thing or any new fish in the tank ?

wc's, how often? have you tested your tap water ?

enough air stones? If you've had him for 3 years, I imagine you have that covered.

Tried de-shelled peas? he could be blocked-up.

That is all I can think of atm.

If nothing has changed recently, try the peas and test tap. I recently found amonia(as a by-product of chlorine) in my tap water.
Good luck , Georgie
