PlanetCatfish.com (and AquaticRepublic.com) now produce RSS (2.0) feeds for image updates to the Cat-eLog, these are now fully validated to that standard and so properly update the respective Twitter feeds and Facebook walls. I've been meaning to this for ages but it's a rather complex (if technical straighforward thing to do).
While RSS is a very elegant and simple way to recieve updates from sites that interest you, it's never really had much of an audience outside of the tech crowd. Twitter and Facebook are more commonly used, so hopefully this will get updates out to more people on the platforms they prefer.
