Fix for the problem Silurus reported in R987 (all of the relevant admin places, I'm looking over any other place using the same code right now).

I've just added one minor set of "cosmetic changes" (just removing/adding some spaces around in the source code) R988 and one change for the "no-style" thumbnails function, R989.

I have submitted R992 which fixes the (related but different cause) problem that Silurus reports above.

That fix by Mats is now online. Sorry about all this, I tackle a large but simple change but was pushed for time in testing it and missed these ones.
