Since yesterday morning I discovered a pair of L397 in a cave
They have been moving caves for the past two weeks so I knew something was up.
They were still together this morning, male fanning and vibrating his fins and tail.
Fingers crossed!!!
Here a short video of yesterday morning:

After various attempts I discovered my very first Panaque eggs this morning

Not much to show, bad flashlight and he's covering the eggs quite well too But still, here is a short movie.
He kicked out 3 eggs, one was already bad and turned white, one has burst open and the other one is still good. They also look fertile.

hi
I breed these on very regular basis! Once they get going, they are very easy!
The fry are not so fragile, but you need to provide them with some soft wood! A bit of bambu works very well.
A mix of protein wafels and algee wafels and they grow quite fast!
Cheers

Thanks for your feedback Cristoffer!
I have some algee tablets, with a 10% concentration of wood in them. Sounds good for these little guys.
Also got some more wood for them to start chewing on when they have dissolved their yolksacks.
10 Little wigglers outside the cave this morning, but loads more inside with dad
Hope some will stay out so I can keep seeing their development and capture on photo's to show you all.
