dark spotted catfish ID needed
I picked up three of these guys at my LFS, they were titled "Jaguar Catfish" but it looks nothing like the ones you can google. It doesn't look like a false Jaguar either. These might be a little blurry but they're the best example photos I have right now. Unless they're juveniles or something but their heads look completely different and have different barbels

With hybrids it is sometimes hard to say for sure how big they will get...with the looks of this fish, one clue being the large dorsal...I would think you should prepare for a fish that could reach 7 or 8 inches in length.Ya, seeing now its definitely one of the Syno hybrids, just need to see how large its supposed to get

I'm prepared for that size, I originally wanted Jaguar and they get the same size as well. Right now they are barely an inch and a half in size and in a 50g tank with a red tail shark, so just the 4 fish. In a few months they will be upgraded to a larger one to suit them when they're older. Will these breeds stay thin or will they get the giant stomach like Striped Raphels and Jaguars?

Look in the link Silurus offered, they will be much like that.
Synos can get that roly poly look but that means they are eating way too much, it is unhealthy for a syno to be very fat.(unless an egg laden female)
