making sure I buy C. Pygmaeus?

Perhaps a silly question but I recently bought a few Ancistrus and with those it's often difficult to tell species apart.
I'm looking to buy a few Corydoras Pygmaeus for my daughter's tank. Is there anything I need to look out for to make sure I get Pygmaeus and not some other species?

As a general rule, C pygmaeus are often offered in NL as C hastatus
Both species are shaped more or less like a club (knuppel in Dutch) but while pygmaeus has a stripe on its whitish body, C hastatus has a diamond on its greysh body.
I could not mention any other species one could buy thinking one has C pygmaeus

So it's a lot easier with Corydoras. Thanks for the tips Bas!

My daughter just got 5 of these for her little shrimp tank. They're so small... that's quite fine sand on the second picture.

Yep! So cute! Mine are active after 4 pm. They usually like it warmer than most shrimp tanks though....good luck with them! I love mine!

We're running at 25.5C and a ph of just over 7. According to the cat-e-log that should be acceptable to them.
My daughter was worried yesterday that they didn't touch their food. I explained that it's not uncommon for new fish to do that in the first 24 hours. Going to try scattering some shrimp pellets tonight, see what they think.
Also, I know I should attribute human emotions to them but I'd be tempted to say at least two are enjoying swimming into a shrimp's feelers and making it teleport backwards.

Hi all,
Going to try scattering some shrimp pellets tonight, see what they think.
They like really small food items, mine really like micro-worms.
We had a thread about feeding them relatively recently <
