Strange Behavior of L014s

Recently, I decided to purchase three L014s from a seller on Aquabid. They came in at about 4-inches long each and looked pretty good and lively. I have never had L014s before but I noticed something strange in their behavior. I heard they are voracious eaters and not very reclusive. But I have never seen these three feed in my tank. Moreover, they occasionally swim towards the top of the tank and stay clinging on the glass. Oftentimes, I see them awkwardly laying on the sand (slanted). One time, I saw one laying inverted! X_X I have these guys for twelve days now and they are in a 90 Gal tank with some tetras and ancistrus, which are all doing fine. Temp is set at 80 degrees F and other parameters fine. I dont see any discoloration or spots on any of my fishes. What could be causing them to behave like this? ~X( Any thoughts please?

If they are newly imported, I would probably treat them for external parasites, to be on the safe side. Hanging at the top of the tank is a sign they are not getting enough oxygen. At that temperature, adequate aeration for them should be easy to provide. I keep mine quite a bit warmer and they are never stressed about it.

Hi Tagamasid,

I started a similar topic several months ago and included a video of one of my L14s. There were quite a few replies to my original post, so I thought you might find some of the information helpful. The link is below.
