Like the title says buy 2 get a 3rd free of equal or lesser value of coarse. lol

Measurements are all there as well as the Yard sticks in the pics as a reference. Measurements of any with multiple pieces has the largest piece measured. Manzanita is very versatile and can be used to scape in many different ways. Lay it in the tank, situated with a small piece of slate, tied from the top of the tank to give the appearance of coming from above, or ???? there is just so many possibilities. I can also trim any piece for you if you like. Send me your zip code for a shipping quote. A lot will ship for $15-20 with the larger pieces being just a little more.
Any questions at all please feel free to ask!

Remember

All pieces are measured from the widest points which is usually a thin branch. So if a piece is only a few inches to big for your tank it can be trimmed most of the time without loosing it's style. Trimming can be easily done with pliers, snips, saws, or even scissors.

PLEASE SHARE PICS OF YOUR TANK WHEN IT IS SET UP :)

So.... please tell us about manzanita. Does it sink or do we have to anchor it down?

How long will it last submerged?

Does it have a good track record in aquariums?

Does it release tannins or other chemicals?

Hi there :)
Manzanita has been used in aquariums for years and years. It is a hardwood and will outlast the time most have their aquariums it does not rot or breakdown under water. As far as tannins go manzanita releases very little in most cases you won't notice it and if you do a small water change usually gets rid of it completely. Any other questions feel free to ask :-BD

Hi pc1,

Welcome to the forum. As a commercial operator, you might want to introduce yourself a bit and review the section of the rules appertaining to this section.

Cheers,

I have purchased and used the driftwood sold here by this user and it really does look great and work great. The only this with these is it does take a bit of time for them to sink on there own between a week to even a month for some pieces. But this wood doesn't break down fast as all and my pleco's love rasping on them. Mine do still release tannins into the tank but I don't mind it. Activated carbon will help keep your water clear though.

Ger,
Long time! Aquarium central right? Most pieces sink in a few days and leech very few tannins. If I remember you got a couple thick root type pieces. They usually take longer to sink and def leech more. Any pics of your pieces set up?

Yea I bought some of those root pieces and alot of your thick branchy pieces. The Root ones deff leach out tons of tannins but the thick branchy kind leach a bit as well and some have taken really long to sink. It varies Ive noticed from piece to piece.

I bought some of this manzanita and the seller was quite generous with the transaction.

I placed one piece about 12" long with 1/2" thick branches in a tank and it sank in less than two days

Hello,
Yes driftwood helps lower PH but not significantly if your looking to lower it by a lot.

Also, supposedly the pH buffering capacities "run-out" after some time (about a year). To "re-charge" the buffering, take the wood out let it dry, and then put it back in the tank; the expansion and contraction of the wood drying out and getting wet will expose new areas of the wood to help lower the pH.
