Egg hatching - how long time?

Post by bernt »

Just wondering how long time it will take for Corydoras eggs to hatch? I have a few C. sterbai eggs that I'm waiting for to hatch, and I'm not shure how long time I should wait before I throw them away...

3 to 5 days depending on species and water temperature.

Thanks. It has gone six days since the eggs was laid, but they haven't hatched yet. They don't seem to be funguset. Does this means that they're don't fertilized?

Hi!

What color are the egg?
If they are opac white that means they are not fertile!
If the are brown to dark brown it means they are fertile?
At what T° do you keep them?
Cheers

They are light brown and translucent. Not white. I keep them at 23 degrees celcius.
