Non toxic grey paint for background

Hi All,
For the same 6 x 2 x 2 tank I am going to need to change the background in some places seeing as I was let down by the supplier.
I am going to use the milliput expoxy resin where needed, but I will need to merge the colour to the grey of the background.
Could anyone give me details of a suitable non toxic paint available in the uk, that i could use to colour the milliput?
Many thanks
Stuey

Would painting the outside of the tank be an option?

Hello Jools
Sadly, I cannot paint the outside of the tank.
Basically I had requested that spraybars would be moulded into the background. The first time the tank was delivered these were completely missing so I sent the tank back.
It has now arrived, but it is still not as requested so spray bars currently moulded in to the background are too short so I need to extend these.
I can add the spray bar piece, miliput in place and add some structure to hide the spraybar to blend in with the existing spraybar, trouble is matching the colour to the grey of the background. It will only be an area of about 4 inch by 3 inch for each of the spraybars

an alternative would by paining plywood and putting that behind the tank
Painting the inside can resut in Loricarids scraping the paint away - thus an ugly window again

Hi Stu,
OK, so it must be inside the tank? Embed half a roll of plastic mesh into the miliput and grow some moss on it? I am afraid I have no experience of paint or other treatments for inside a tank.

Hi there,
Yes, possibly covering the yellow milliput may be an option.
I was wondering if using G4 Pond Sealer paint may be an option.
This comes in Grey, so could put a couple of coats over the yellow milliput.
This used to coat the inside of fish ponds, so should be safe
Any thoughts?

Stu,The G4 wont stick to glass ,Its a problem .
You could try a fiberglass background you will have to make it but it will look good ?
Give me a call if you want some help.
