Hi. Im new to aquaria as well as this forum. I am probably a little paranoid or just a hyperchondriach on behalf of my fish but im concerned I may have velvet in my aquarium.
Should my salt and pepper corydoras be beige/white with black marking or brighter white with black marking. Mine appear more beige from above. Is very occasional flicking normal behaviour for them, just scratching an itch?

Flicking behavior is totally normal on occasion. Fish get itchy too. And yes beige to brown is the normal background color for these fish.
